Upcoming Sector 101

The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is advancing the development of a new industrial area in Sector 101 of Mohali. This significant initiative involves acquiring around 489 acres across five villages in the district. The industrial area is classified under the ‘orange’ category, corresponding to a moderate pollution index. Landowners affected by this acquisition are offered compensation, with rates varying across different villages. They also have the option to choose between monetary compensation or land pooling. This development is aimed at attracting industrial growth and investment in the region, leveraging the strategic location near the airport and other infrastructure
